About avbbc
An independent directory of AI tools and MCP servers, built on the assumption that most directories are stale within a month of launch.
Why this exists
Search for any category of AI tool and you get the same twenty entries across fifty sites, most of which copied their descriptions from the vendor's homepage in 2024. Prices are wrong, some products are dead, and nobody tells you which one is actually worth paying for.
This directory tries to do the boring part properly: check the facts, date them, and say something opinionated when the facts support it.
What is in here, and how it got here
46 tools, 127 hand-reviewed MCP servers, 343 packages compiled from the npm registry, and 50 agent skills. The compiled packages are labelled Listed on every page and never appear in comparisons or best-of lists — the machine collects them, the editor does not vouch for them.
Every reviewed entry carries a date. Anything past thirty days is treated as approximate, and an entry whose site stops resolving is unpublished rather than left to rot.
How it is funded
Three sources, in order of size: affiliate links on outbound clicks, labelled sponsored placements on category pages, and display advertising. Readers never pay, nothing is paywalled, and organic rankings are not for sale. The full pricing model is public.
What we refuse to do
- Publish a page with fewer than six verified facts.
- Copy a vendor's marketing copy as a description.
- Rank a product we have not opened and used.
- Keep a listing up after its website stops resolving.
