Academic Research Skills
Research, write, review, revise, finalise — as separate stages.
Use it for
Structuring a paper whose argument is already clear
Skip it if
Producing citations; verify every reference by hand
What it is
Splits academic writing into five stages rather than one prompt, which mirrors why the process works for humans: review is cheaper when it is a separate pass with different instructions. Treat the output as a draft. Citation checking is still yours, and always will be.
Install
Clone the repository, then copy the skill folder into your agent's skills directory — ~/.claude/skills/ for Claude Code. Skills are plain files: no build step, no daemon.
git clone https://github.com/Imbad0202/academic-research-skills.git
How to judge it
Read the SKILL.md before you install. A good skill states when it applies, what it must not do, and how to verify the result. A skill that only lists adjectives will change the agent's tone without improving its output — skip those.
